Ticket Office Hours Expanded

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State Athletics Ticket Office will offer expanded operating hours on the weekend dates of home men's and women's basketball games for the remainder of the season.
The ticket office, located in Bramlage Coliseum, will be open from 9 a.m., through game time for the weekend home games. The new hours will take effect for the first time on February 4, when the surging Wildcat men's team hosts Oklahoma State at 3 p.m., followed by the women's game against Nebraska at 7 p.m.
Robin Fosha, director of ticket operations, said the change in operating hours is intended to provide more time on game days for Wildcat fans to buy or pick up pre-purchased tickets and reduce the possibility of long lines prior to the game.
In addition, Fosha said beginning with Wednesday's women's game against Kansas, all pre-paid public tickets designated for will call will be placed at the auxiliary ticket trailer located near Cats Closet outside the northwest entrance of Bramlage Coliseum. This will provide a central location for pickup of previously ordered tickets and separate those fans from others attempting to purchase tickets at the Bramlage ticket windows.
An unusually large walkup for the Wildcats' 79-64 victory over Missouri on Saturday resulted in a season-high crowd of 12,326. Many fans were still in line purchasing or picking up tickets after the game began.
"We anticipate that interest is going to continue to build with the success of our team," Fosha said. "We're hopeful the steps we are implementing will help reduce problems at future games and make it more convenient for our fans."
The ticket office's normal business hours are 9 a.m., to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets can be ordered in person at the ticket office in Bramlage Coliseum, by phone at 1-800-221-CATS or on-line at www.k-statesports.com.
