Cats and Aggies Battle to 1-1 Tie

Jared Goedert followed with a sacrifice fly to right to score Scott and give the Cats a 1-0 lead. Joe Roundy then flied out to end the inning.
The Aggies threatened in the bottom half of the third after putting runners on second and third with two outs but Bayuk struck out Kyle Colligan for the final out of the frame.
Then in the fifth, which made the game official, the Aggies put runners on first and third with two outs to chase Bayuk and allowing closer Bryan Peterson to enter the game. Peterson then got Colligan to strike out on three straight pitches to end the threat.
Chase Bayuk pitched effectively for the Wildcats after tossing 4.2 shutout innings and allowing just four hits. Bayuk struck out two and walked two. Peterson pitched 1.1 innings of relief and gave up one run on two hits.
