Brad Hutt Named Big 12 Pitcher of the Week
May 09, 2006 | Baseball
Hutt went 8.0 innings to earn the win as the Cats went on the road and knocked off No. 8 Oklahoma, 3-2 last Saturday afternoon. The sophomore gave up two unearned runs in the first and went on to throw 7.0 shutout innings and allowed just two more hits to earn his sixth win of the season.
At one point, Hutt retired both 10 and 13 batters in a row at different points in the game and retired 22 of the last 23 batters he faced in the win over the No. 8 Sooners. Hutt moved to 6-3 on the season after scattering four hits with no walks and three strikeouts in the win.
The Papillion,
The honor was the second of the season for a Wildcat as Brandon Farr earned player of the week honors three weeks ago. K-State returns to Big 12 action this weekend when it visits Texas A&M at Olsen Field. First pitch on Friday is set for 7 p.m.
