Wildcats Host Columbia to Open 2026 Home Slate

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State opens its 2026 home slate with a three-game set against Columbia, beginning with a doubleheader Friday at 2 p.m. at Tointon Family Stadium.
The second game on Friday will follow approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1 of the doubleheader. The stadium will not be cleared between games. Saturday's 1 p.m. game at Tointon Family Stadium will be played as scheduled, and Sunday's game has been canceled.
K-State wrapped up its nine-game road trip 6-3, tying the best nine-game start under eighth-year head coach Pete Hughes. Friday's home opener marks the first meeting between K-State and Columbia (0-3).
Friday's doubleheader will broadcast on ESPN+, while the entire three-game series can be heard on News Radio KMAN (93.3 FM, 1350 AM). A free live streaming audio is available for all games at KStateSports.com/watch and on the K-State Sports app.
