K-State Baseball Releases Fall Schedule

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State baseball and head coach Pete Hughes revealed the Wildcats' 2026 fall schedule, which features an exhibition game against Kansas at Tointon Family Stadium.
The fall season, which will feature free admission to all events at Tointon Family Stadium, begins on Monday, September 28, against Canadian prospect team, the Mississauga Tigers. The Cats will also face Western Oklahoma State on October 9 before taking on in-state rival KU.
The matchup with the Jayhawks, which will be played either October 16 or 17, coincides with a busy weekend for Wildcat athletics in Manhattan. K-State volleyball starts things off Thursday, October 15, as the Wildcats take on KU at Morgan Family Arena before soccer hosts Colorado on Friday, October 16, at Buser Family Park. The weekend will wrap up with football hosting the Jayhawks at Bill Snyder Stadium on Saturday, October 17.
Details for the exhibition against KU will be determined at a later date following the announcement of the game time for K-State football's contest against the Jayhawks.
Additionally, the Wildcats will host their annual ALS Awareness Halloween Game on Thursday, October 29, at 6:30 p.m. The event is a staple of Hughes' 19 Ways campaign, which is designed to impact the community in a positive way on 19 different occasions, and is a fun, family-friendly event that helps raise money and awareness for ALS.
Coaches and players will dress in costume for an entertaining baseball game for the whole family, and fans are also encouraged to dress in costume.
The ALS Awareness Halloween Game began in 2012 while Hughes was the head coach at Virginia Tech, when Hughes' former player Pete Frates was diagnosed with ALS. Frates, who played for Hughes at Boston College, and his family spearheaded the Ice Bucket Challenge, which has helped raise more than $115 million toward finding a cure.
