BELTON, Mo. - Former Kansas State men's golfer Tyler Cummins picked up his second amateur tournament victory of the summer on Monday after winning the Kansas City Amateur at Loch Lloyd Country Club.
Cummins carded an impressive 68-70-69-207 (-5) to win the tournament by six strokes over Tyler Docking. Cummins, the Olathe, Kan., native, was the only golfer to break par in each round, and came up just shy of breaking the tournament record for low score.
The win at the Kansas City Amateur was Cummins' second victory this summer, having previously won the Kansas Public Links Championship.
