“We got it done today,” said head coach Tim Norris. “Our guys played with a lot of pose today and a lot of confidence. Coming down the stretch, it was ours to take or someone else was going to take it away from us and they really did a great job. Mitch (Gregson) has played great, Joe (Ida) threw in a pretty good round today after finishing up with a 30 foot putt for eagle on No. 16. ”

“Robert has played great golf this fall,” added Norris. “He is just a bulldog. If he makes a bogey, he gets right back on his game and doesn’t let it faze him. It is good to see a senior lead your team like he has and I think that means a lot.”
Mitchell Gregson tied for seventh place with an even par score of 213. With the seventh place finish, Gregson has finished inside the top-10 in all but two tournaments this fall. Sophomore Ross Geubelle tied for 16th place carding a 3-over par 216 three round score.
Wildcat golfer Joe Ida carded a 1-under par 70 final round score, placing him in a four-way tie for 18th place. Finishing in a tie for 34th place is sophomore Kyle Smell with a three round score of 8-over par 221.
“All the players felt that we were going to have a good team this year and what they think really matters the most,” added Norris. “ We are not practicing any different than we did last year we just have good players playing with confidence and when you put them in a group together, good things are going to happen.”
The Wildcats will resume play on February 27, 2009, at the Dual in the Desert in
