Wildcats Tee it up at the Braveheart Classic

UP NEXT: The Kansas State men’s golf team looks to continue this seasons succes as they travel to Beaumont Calif. to compete in the Braveheart Classic, Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3. The event will tee off with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. (PT) on Monday for the first 36 holes. The third and final round will also be a shotgun start Tuesday at 8 a.m. (PT).
LOOK AT THE FIELD: The field contains 18 teams from across the country. Competing will be Arizona, Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge, Gonzaga, Kansas State, LaVerne, Long Beach State, Loyola-Chicago, Loyola Marymount, Missouri-Kansas City, Oral Roberts, Oregon, Sacramento State, Southern Utah, Tennessee, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, and Utah State.
LAST TIME OUT: The Kansas State men’s golf team started the spring season the way it finished the fall season as the Wildcats won their third tournament of the 2008-09 season after bringing home the crown from the Dual in the Desert. The team carded a 5-over par 293 at the prestigious Bighorn Golf Club to best the University of California Riverside.
2008 Braveheart Classic: Mitchell Gregson shot an 8-over 224 for the third top-10 finish of his sophomore campaign and the Kansas State Wildcats finished the 2008 Braveheart Classic in fifth place.
EARLY SUCCESS: Kansas State senior men’s golfer Robert Streb won his first tournament of his career at the Braveheart Classic when he carded a 1-under 71 at Bighorn Golf Club.
HOST OAK VALLEY GOLF CLUB: The Univerist of California Riverside will host the 18 teams at the Oak Valley Golf Course. The 18-hole layout covers 7,003 yards and is a par 72 course
