Lehning Named WBCA Regional Finalist

The State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team selection committee will review the 52 candidates and cut the list to 40 finalists on Thursday, March 25. The 40 finalists will all be in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team.
Lehning is a candidate for a number of national All-American honors including: the Wade Trophy, a finalist for the Naismith Trophy, a finalist for the Wooden Award, a finalist for the Lieberman Award and a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. The 2009 All-Big 12 first team selection is the Wildcats’ third-leading scorer this season at 10.9 points per game, the team’s top rebounder at 7.1 per game and the Big 12 leader and second in the nation in assists per game at 7.6 per contest.
Lehning is the only player in the nation that has registered three triple-doubles this season and owns five for her career, which is tied for third in NCAA history for triple-doubles.
