Streb in Seventh after Day One at Big 12 Championship

"He is in pretty good shape," said head coach Tim Norris on Streb's performance. "Par is such a good score here because there are just no easy holes. There is just not much margin for error out here."
The Wildcats were able to withstand the weather to card a 45-over par 605 at the par 70, 6701 yard Prairie Dunes Country Club. With their score the Wildcats are in seventh place, three strokes ahead of 20th ranked
"It was a pretty good team effort today," said Norris. "We had a pretty dysfunctional practice round yesterday because we only got to see about 12 holes. I think these guys know that they haven't played their best golf yet this tournament but the good part is that there are 36-holes left."

For the Wildcats, sophomore Daniel Wood and junior Joe Ida are tied for 35th place after shooting a 15-over par 155.
Sophomore Kyle Smell was able to knock 10 strokes off his second round score finishing with a 3-over par 73 second round score after carding a 13-over par 83 in the first round. The two-round score of 16-over par 156 places Smell in a tie for 40th place heading into the third round.
Mitchell Gregson finished one stroke behind Smell in a tie for 45th place after firing a 17-over par 157.
