LAST TIME OUT: After rain and thunderstorms nearly canceled the final round of the Big 12 Championship, the Kansas State men’s golf team put together the best round of the tournament to jump over Baylor and finish in fourth place. The Wildcats fired a 4-under par 276 in the final round, giving them a final score of 50-over par 1,170 at the par 70, 6,701-yard Prairie Dunes Country Club. The fourth place finish tied the 2003-04 team for the best Big 12 Championship finish in school history.
2008 NCAA WEST REGIONAL:
2008-09 RECAP: With four tournament titles this season, the Wildcats became only the second team in school history to record that many victories in a single season. Junior Mitchell Gregson became the first Wildcat to win two individual titles in the same season since PGA Tour pro Aaron Watkins in 2002. Senior Robert Streb finished in third place at the Big 12 Championship, which is the best finish by a Wildcat golfer at the Big 12 Championship in school history.
