
K-State Falls to Auburn in NCEA Quarters

WACO, Texas- With a hard fought battle to a tough DSU team yesterday in the quarterfinals, the No. 8 K-State equestrian team looked to carry that momentum toa victory on Friday, but fell to No. 1 Auburn in a 15-1 decision at the Extraco Events Center.
Noteworthy
• Kansas State finished the season with
a 5-11 record.
• The lone point came from the experienced
Horsemanship rider – junior Alyssa Lombardi.
• The Wildcats dropped both disciplines
against the Tigers falling in Hunt Seat, 8-0, and in
Western, 7-1.
Reining
• The Tigers came out aggressive in the opening
discipline of Reining with the Wildcats falling short, 4-0.
Equitation on the Flat
• The Tigers notched the victory today as the
Wildcats’ fell short, 4-0.
Horsemanship
• With the score being 8-0 going
into Horsemanship, K-State tallied their first point of the day as they
dropped a 3-1 decision in Auburn's favor.
• Lombardi carded a score of
152 to ride past Auburn’s Megan Rauh, 150.5, gaining the
only point for Kansas State in the discipline.
• Lombardi ends the season with a
6-10 record and going 2-0 at the NCEA Championships.

• The final score
in Fences Friday was 4-0, as K-State fell to Auburn.

Equestrian Team
• Seniors Kara Guy, Nicholle Hatton
and Danielle Kemper compiled a record of 80-70-10, while picking up 9 MOP
at their time as Wildcats.
