MANHATTAN, Kansas – (25/rv) K-State will conclude its two-game home stand on Wednesday with one of the longest continuous rivalries in all of women’s college basketball, as the Wildcats host Kansas in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown at 7 p.m.
• Wednesday night’s game will be broadcast on COX Channel Kansas, ESPN3 and K-StateHD.TV, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Missy Heidrick (analyst) call the action.
• Kansas State (12-4, 2-2 Big 12) is off to its best start in Big 12 play since the 2011-12 season, following K-State’s 68-54 win over Texas Tech on Jan. 7.
• For the second straight game, the Wildcats had five players in double figures led by freshman Eternati Willock with a career-high 13 points. She also pulled in eight rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.
• Willock is the first K-State freshman to register double figures in points in consecutive games since the 2013-14 season. In league play, Willock is averaging 11,0 points and 7.0 rebounds. She ranks second among the league’s freshman in Big 12 play in scoring and field goal percentage (.500).
• Joining Willock in double figures was junior forward Kaylee Page and freshman forward Peyton Williams with 10 points. Page pulled in six rebounds and Williams notched five.
• Also in double figures were seniors Kindred Wesemann and Breanna Lewis with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Lewis hauled in 11 rebounds and blocked three shots for her fourth double-double this season.

K-State Among the Rankings
• Kansas State joined the Associated Press (AP) top-25 poll for the first time this season on Dec. 19 and the first time since Jan. 16, 2012, as the Wildcats entered at No. 24.
• It was the first time K-State had been ranked No. 24 in the AP poll.
• K-State returned to the AP rankings on Jan. 2, at No. 25 and remains there in the Jan. 9 poll. This is the 164th appearance in the AP poll for the program. K-State is 5-3 ranked No. 25 in the poll.
• As a ranked team, K-State owns a 212-73 (.744) record.
Three is not a Crowd, It’s a Benefit
• Since the 2011-12 season, when three or more players reach double figures in scoring in the same game, K-State is 68-36 (.654).
• K-State has had three or more players reach double figures in the same game 11 times this season, resulting in an 8-3 record.
• K-State had a season-high five players reach double figures three times this season: against Tulsa on Nov. 14, at Oklahoma on Jan. 4 and against Texas Tech on Jan. 7.
Willock Provides Bench Boost
• Eternati Willock has been an aggressive presence off the bench for K-State in the last three games.
• In her first three Big 12 games, Willock is averaging 11.0 points on a .500 field goal percentage. She is also pulling in 7.0 rebounds in those three games. She ranks eighth in the Big 12 in league-only games in rebounding and 12th in the Big 12 in field goal percentage.
• At Oklahoma, Willock tallied her second double figure scoring effort of the season with 11 points and pulled in a career-high nine rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.
• Against Texas Tech on Jan. 7, Willock carded her second straight double figure scoring effort of the season with a career-high 13 points and pulled in eight rebounds in 26 minutes off the bench.
• She is the first K-State freshman to record consecutive double figure scoring performances since the 2013-14 season.
• For the season, Willock is averaging 6.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
• In nine games coming off the bench, Willock is averaging 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 19.5 minutes of action.
Wesemann Reaches Career Milestone
• Kindred Wesemann became the 40th player in program history to score 1,000 or more career points with her 16 points at Baylor on Dec. 29.
• Wesemann ranks 37th in program history with 1,044 points in her career. She is the second active Wildcat with 1,000 or more points (Breanna Lewis; 1,312). She is the 15th player in program history with 1,000 or more points, 250 or more rebounds and 250 or more assists.
• Wesemann is the 19th guard in program history to score 1,000 or more career points. She is the eighth player 5’7” or shorter to score 1,000 or more career points for the Wildcats.
• She is the third player at 5’7” or under to score 1,000 or more career points since the introduction of the 3-point line in 1986-87.
• She has opened the season averaging 13.9 points per game and ranks 12th in the Big 12 in the category.
• She scored in double figures in nine straight games to open the 2016-17 season. For her career, the Pleasant Hill, Missouri, product has reached double figures in scoring 50 times.
• On her way to earning Paradise Jam MVP honors, Wesemann tallied a season-high 24 points against LSU on Nov. 25, her sixth career game with 20 or more points.
Lewis Cleans the Glass
• Senior center Breanna Lewis continues to ascend the K-State career rebounding list, as she has hauled in 727 in her career to rank 11th in school history (see chart on pg. 32).
• In her career, she has pulled in five or more rebounds 78 times and has 21 games in her career in double figures on the glass.
• This season, Lewis is averaging 8.9 rebounds per game and ranks fourth in the Big 12 in rebounding.
• Lewis had a career-high seven double-doubles last season (all in Big 12 play) and owns 16 in her career. She ranks tied for eighth in program history for career double-doubles and needs three double-doubles in her career to move into seventh in program history.
