MANHATTAN, Kan. – All 33
Kansas State baseball home games will be shown across multiple television and
online platforms once again for the 2017 season as the contests are set to air
on ESPN3, FOX College Sports (FCS), Cox Channel Kansas or K-StateHD.TV while
every game, home and away, can be heard on News Radio KMAN and www.k-statesports.com, K-State
Athletics and K-State Sports Properties officials announced.
K-State baseball fans can watch each home game
online while several contests can be viewed across the nation over traditional
television. K-State, in partnership with FOX Sports, will have six games shown
on FCS, which will be produced by K-StateHD.TV.
For the second straight season, ESPN3 will
stream Wildcat home games, beginning with a three-game series starting March 31
against 2016 Big 12 champion TCU. ESPN3 will broadcast a total of 10 K-State
home games, eight of which will be exclusively seen on the network.
Cox Channel Kansas, available for Cox cable
subscribers on channel 22 and 2022, will carry a total of five K-State home
games, starting with the March 31 matchup with TCU. Other broadcasts include
April 13 vs. Texas Tech, April 21 vs. West Virginia, April 28 vs. Abilene
Christian and May 2 vs. Wichita State.
Currently, three road games at Texas (March
24-26) will be shown on the Longhorn Network as part of the ESPN family of
networks.
Fourteen contests will air exclusively on
K-StateHD.TV, the nation’s most-watched institutional network since its
inception in 2011. The list includes the first 13 home games of the season from
March 3-19 against Eastern Illinois, Northwestern State, UC Riverside,
Creighton, Omaha and Iowa as well as the April 19 contest against New Mexico.
K-StateHD.TV features over 50 live games across
football, volleyball, basketball and baseball to go with exclusive pregame
shows, press conferences and more. Fans can also access on-demand replays of
select K-State games, including all football games, home or away. Subscriptions
start at $9.95 a month or $99.95 for a full year.
In addition to each home game being broadcast
on television or streamed online, all 56 matchups can be heard on News Radio
KMAN (93.3 FM/93.7 FM/1350 AM) for the seventh straight season as well as
online at www.k-statesports.com and www.1350KMAN.com. Some early-season contests
may not be aired on KMAN due to conflicts with men’s or women’s basketball, but
those contests will still be made available online.
The K-State Sports Network will broadcast five
home games on the radio in 2016, including the four Friday Big 12 home games
and May 12 contest at Kansas. The four home conference games are March 31 vs.
TCU, April 14 vs. Texas Tech, April 21 vs. West Virginia and May 5 vs.
Oklahoma.
The 2017 season starts on February 17 when the
Wildcats open four games in Kissimmee, Florida, against Ohio State (twice),
Pitt and Delaware. The Cats will then head to South Carolina to face the
Gamecocks, St. John’s and Liberty (twice) before returning home to Tointon
Family Stadium for their home opener on March 3.
Season tickets are available now and can be
purchased by visiting www.k-statesports.com/tickets,
calling 1-800-221-CATS (2287) or by stopping by the K-State Athletics Ticket
