Risner Named Second Team All-American

MANHATTAN, Kan. – A leader on the offensive line each of the last three seasons, Kansas State junior tackle Dalton Risner has been named a Second Team All-American by CBSSports.com.
Risner, a product of Wiggins, Colorado, is the Wildcats' first offensive lineman to earn All-America status since B.J. Finney in 2014. He spearheaded an offensive line in 2017 that helped the Wildcat offense finish the regular season ranking second in the Big 12 in rushing at 186.7 yards per game and yards per carry (4.8), while they rank fourth in rushing touchdowns (25). According to Pro Football Focus, Risner graded out at a 90.3 mark to earn First Team All-America honors from the organization.
The two-time team captain and First Team All-Big 12 performer has started all 38 career games and is completing his second season at right tackle after starting all 13 games at center his freshman season. He is also a three-time Academic All-Big 12 performer – including earning first-team distinctions each of the last two years – while he was a candidate for the AFCA Good Works Team candidate earlier this season.
