The K-State men's golf team is set to get back in action this weekend at the Tiger Invitational, March 4-6, at the par-72, 7,149-yard Grand National Lakes Course in Opelika, Alabama.
The teams will play 18-holes per day with a 7:40 a.m., tee time start on Sunday.
K-State's lineup for the event will feature JC Campbell, Jacob Eklund, Jeremy Gandon, Ben Fernandez, and Roland Massimino, while Trent Evans will compete as an individual.
"We are looking forward to competing at Auburn this weekend," head coach Grant Robbins said. "It is a great tournament on a really good golf course.
"We had a good week of practice, and I think the course fits our team very well. I like the lineup we have and look for us to play well this week."
Three Wildcats - Eklund, Fernandez and Gandon - led the team in scoring at the Seminole Intercollegiate. Eklund tied for eighth at 3-under par 213, while Fernandez was just one stroke behind after carding 2-under par 214 to tie for 11th. Gandon tied for 21st carding 1-over par 217.
Massimino and Campbell both competed in the USA Individual Tournament last month as they make their scoring lineup debut. Campbell tied for 11th by recording 5-over par 218, and Massimino carded a 6-over par 219 to tie for 14th place.
The Wildcats will be joined in Opelika by Auburn, Charlotte, Georgia State, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri State, Samford, South Alabama, Troy, UNC Greensboro, University of Missouri, UNC Wilmington, and UT Chattanooga.
