MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women's golfer Connie Jaffrey was honored for her impressive senior campaign as she picked up 2017-18 All-Big 12 honors, the conference office announced Thursday.
The Kilwinning, Scotland, native was one of just 10 golfers to earn the all-conference honor and was just the second Wildcat ever to be named to the All-Big 12 team. Christine Boucher did so in her final three years, capped by being named the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2004.
"It is another great honor for Connie," head coach Kristi Knight said. "The Big 12 is a great league for both men's and women's golf. Earning All-Big 12 is a testament to the great year Connie has had and its not over yet. We are very proud of her."
During her senior season, the nationally-ranked Jaffrey led the team in wins (2), top-10 finishes (4), stroke average (72.66) and rounds even or under par (16).
The honor adds to an already distinguished career as Jaffrey will go down as one of the best women's golfers in Kansas State history. She is currently in the top-five all time in top-10 finishes, annual stroke average (72.66), 54-hole score (207) and 18-hole score (66).
Additionally, her stroke average this year currently stands as the best in program history, while her current career stroke average of 74.15 is also first.
Jaffrey will be competing in the 2018 NCAA Madison Regional, May 7-9, where she will be the No. 1 individual seed. The regional will take place at the par-72, 6,313-yard University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin.
