Jul 12, 2018 | Athletics
MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-StateHD.TV earned national recognition with four Silver Telly Awards during the 39th Annual Telly Awards for content produced during the 2017-18 athletic season. Competing against blockbuster movie trailers and national television shows/marketing campaigns from organizations such as CBS, Disney and Warner Bros., as well as professional sports leagues and teams, K-StateHD.TV was the only Big 12 school to be honored.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving over 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, Gold, Silver and Bronze Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.
K-StateHD.TV earned a Silver Award in the Social Video General – Media & Entertainment category for the K-State men's basketball versus Kentucky 2018 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 pregame hype video. The video featured K-State men's basketball legend Ernie Barrett and highlight footage from both the 1951 NCAA Final Four and the 2018 NCAA Tournament. (Click here to watch)
Production of this piece was done by Assistant Video Producer Dakota German and Director of Social Media and Digital Engagement Jay Moline.
