Dixon Tabbed Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State setter Sarah Dixon was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after posting a career high in assists and leading the Wildcat offense to a league-best hitting percentage, the conference office announced Monday.
Dixon reached the 40-assist plateau in all three of K-State's matches at the Marcia E. Hamilton Classic at Saint Louis. The redshirt junior set a career high with 46 assists in the Cats' four-set win over the Billikens Saturday and led the conference with 11.55 assists/set for the week.
As a team, K-State hit at a .284 hitting efficiency that led the Big 12 over the weekend and the Cats continue to lead the conference in attacking percentage for the season (.276). Dixon is the conference leader with 11.88 assists per set, which ranks seventh in the nation.
Dixon earns the first weekly conference honor of her career and becomes the first Wildcat setter to be named Big 12 Player of the Week since Katie Brand in 2015.
K-State is set for its home opener Tuesday at 6 p.m., against Missouri State at Ahearn Field House. The matchup with the Bears will be broadcast on K-StateHD.TV and FOX College Sports Pacific.
