IN THEIR WORDS
BRUCE WEBER, K-STATE HEAD COACH
On the game…
"I told the guys at practice on Thursday, 'If I am them, I have nothing to lose'. They are going to come out and play first possession zone. Last night, I talked about expecting the unexpected and you know, obviously, we didn't react to it. But it is more of the first half we should have got the lead to 10 or 12, we did not make the plays we needed to. Obviously, our defense has been what we hung our hat on and they shoot 51 percent from the field and 40 percent from three. We turned them over, but we did not really take advantage of those. We have to be emotionally ready to play every game. They have got talent, [TJ] Starks is really good, [Savion] Flagg is really good, the big guys are really good and a couple other guys stepped up and made some shots. If we are going to have a chance, we have got to be locked in defensively and ready to go."
