K-State to Host Girls Clinic for National Girls and Women in Sports Day

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Kansas State Athletics will host its second-annual pregame clinic for girls in the first through eighth grades beginning at 10 a.m., in the Ice Family Basketball Training Facility and the K-State Football Indoor Complex. The clinic is in conjunction with the K-State women's basketball game against Iowa State on February 2 and the celebration of the National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
 
The pregame clinic will be hosted by K-State female student-athletes and feature stations highlighting many different sports. All participants in the clinic will receive a free rally towel and free admission to the women's basketball game at 1 p.m.

The Big 12 matchup between the Wildcats and the Cyclones will also mark K-State's annual Play 4 Kay game. The first 2,000 fans will receive a free pink K-State women's basketball t-shirt when entering Bramlage Coliseum.

Kansas State has been led in the 2018-19 season by the duo of senior Kayla Goth and junior Peyton Williams. Williams, a 2019 Katrina McClain Award candidate, leads the Wildcats in scoring with 14.4 points per game on a .587 field goal percentage, while also pulling in a team-best 9.9 rebounds. Goth leads the Wildcats and the Big 12 in assists with 6.2 per game and is second in scoring with 12.3 points.
