
K-State Volleyball to Host Open Scrimmage with Wichita State Friday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Fans can have their first opportunity to see the 2019 K-State volleyball team as it will be holding a free, open scrimmage and training session with Wichita State Friday at the upper gym inside Ahearn Field House.
The Wildcats and Shockers will hold a joint training session beginning at 4:30 p.m. before a team scrimmage starting at 6:30 p.m. Each segment is scheduled to last approximately an hour and a half and is free and open to all fans.
Friday's event marks the first spring scrimmage for the Cats, who bring back AVCA All-America Honorable Mention players in setter Sarah Dixon and opposite Gloria Mutiri. In total, K-State retains nine letterwinners and four redshirt freshmen from last season's squad.
K-State welcomes in four incoming freshmen to the program in setter Teana Adams-Kaonohi (Honolulu, Hawaii), outside hitter Anna Dixon (Louisburg, Kansas), middle blocker Faith Hammontree (Shawnee, Kansas) and defensive specialist Loren Hinkle (Shawnee, Kansas).
