PRO CATS
Evan Marshall, Chicago White Sox
Marshall has split time in 2019 with the Chicago White Sox and Triple-A Charlotte and is currently with the White Sox after being called up on May 1. In 16 relief outings with Chicago, Marshall has a 2-0 record with a 0.00 ERA, picking up victories in his last two appearances (June 11 vs. Washington, June 13 vs. New York Yankees). He has struck out eight while allowing four hits over his last 10 appearances (9.2 IP). Over 16 1/3 innings on the season, the 6-foot-2 righty has struck out 11 with nine base hits allowed with opponents hitting just .167 against him. While with the Charlotte Knights, Marshall went 3-0 with a 0.00 ERA (0 ER, 10.0 IP) to go with two saves and 13 strikeouts in nine outings. Marshall was a fourth-round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011.
Carlos Torres, Detroit Tigers
Torres began the 2019 season with Triple-A El Paso (San Diego) before being signed by Detroit and being assigned to Triple-A Toledo. Torres was called up on June 9 and has appeared in four games with the Tigers. In six innings of relief, Torres has struck out eight with nine hits allowed and five earned runs against him (7.50 ERA). Torres appeared twice in the Tigers' series with Cleveland over the weekend, totaling two innings without surrendering an earned run. While at Triple-A El Paso, Torres posted a 2.49 ERA over 25 1/3 innings (15 games) while picking up 23 strikeouts. He did not yield a run over five outings (5 2/3 innings) with Toledo before his contract was selected by Detroit. Torres was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 15th round of the 2004 MLB Draft.
Nick Martini, Las Vegas Aviators (Triple-A, Oakland Athletics)
Martini, in his second year in the Oakland Athletics organization, is currently in Triple-A Las Vegas after beginning the season on the 10-day injured list. In 27 games with the Aviators, Martini has a slash line of .330/.427/.427 with seven doubles and 20 runs batted in. The former Wildcat is hitting .341 with five RBI over his last 10 games, including a three-hit, four-RBI output against San Antonio on June 10. Martini made his Major League debut with the A's on June 6, 2018 against the Texas Rangers and appeared in 55 games with Oakland and earned a spot on its playoff roster in 2018. He hit .296 with a home run, nine doubles and 19 RBI with the Athletics last season and remains on the team's 40-man roster. The former All-American outfielder was a seventh-round selection of the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011.
Nate Griep, Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A, Milwaukee Brewers)
Griep is in his fifth season in the Milwaukee Brewers' system and second season with Double-A Biloxi. Griep leads the Shuckers with 14 saves in 14 opportunities to go with a 1.54 ERA (5 ER, 28.1 IP) and 28 strikeouts. Griep's 14 saves lead the Southern League while his 24 appearances rank third. Over his last 10 outings, he has collected seven saves with just six hits given up over 10 2/3 innings. In just over four seasons, Griep has totaled 102 saves in 114 opportunities to go with 203 strikeouts. Griep was an eighth-round selection by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2015 MLB Draft.
Josh Rolette, Lake County Captains (Class-A Full Season, Cleveland Indians)
Rolette has a slash line of .231/.354/.323 with four doubles and 10 RBI in 21 games with Lake County this season. Rolette was activated from the 7-day injured list on June 4 and has gone 4-for-16 with three RBI in five games since. Rolette, who was taken in the 39th round of the 2017 MLB Draft by Cleveland, appeared in 56 games for the Captains in 2018. He posted a slash line of .253/.360/.388 with four home runs, 21 runs batted in and 11 doubles last season with Lake County.
Drew Mount, Daytona Tortugas (Class-A Advanced, Cincinnati Reds)
Mount enters his second season in the Reds' organization and was assigned to Class-A (advanced) Daytona after spending the 2018 season with the Billings Mustangs (rookie). In 32 games this season, Mount owns a slash line of .260/.299/.386 with a homer, seven doubles, three triples and 16 runs batted in with 10 stolen bases. Mount recorded back-to-back two-hit games in his last two outings, driving in three. Mount was the only Wildcat taken in the 2018 MLB Draft, a 16th-round selection by Cincinnati. Mount was K-State's leader in home runs, RBI, triples and steals in his one season at K-State.
Will Brennan, 8th-round selection by Cleveland Indians
Brennan was the only Wildcat taken in the 2019 MLB Draft, as he was taken in the eighth round (No. 250 overall) by the Cleveland Indians. In three seasons at K-State, Brennan produced 208 base hits with a .332 career average. He was named a 2017 Freshman All-American as well as earning All-Big 12 Second Team and All-Freshman Team honors. In 2018, Brennan was named First Team All-Big 12 and was a preseason pick for the 2019 All-Big 12 Team. For the third straight season, Brennan finished as the toughest player in the conference to strike out, as his 18.6 at-bats per strikeout were the best in the nation in 2019. Brennan has yet to be assigned to a minor league club as of June 17.

Luke Bay, Juno Beach Loggerheads (Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches)
Bay has made one start for the Juno Beach (Florida) Loggerheads, going three innings with four earned runs allowed on two hits. Bay struck out four and walked four in a no-decision. The Loggerheads are currently 1-2 and in fifth place in the Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches standings.
Kasey Ford, Rockford Rivets (Northwoods League)
