MANHATTAN, Kansas – Kansas State women's basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has completed his staff for the 2019-20 season with the addition of Ally Connolly as the program's Director of Basketball Administration.
"We are pleased to add Ally to our staff," stated Mittie about Connolly. "She has a wide variety of experiences that will benefit our entire staff and program. She also understands the K-State family culture that we all value in our community, campus and athletics program."
Connolly is responsible for a number of administrative duties within the program including: coordinating staff and team travel and logistics, money and budget management, manage all home game logistics, on-campus recruiting logistics, training table coordination, camp/clinic budgets, daily office operations, and direct program contact for all other KSA departments.
Prior to her appointment with K-State women's basketball, Connolly served as Assistant Director of Events and Hospitality with K-State Athletics in the 2018-19 season. In this role, she oversaw premium seating and gameday hospitality for football, basketball and baseball. She also scheduled, planned and coordinated all events in the West Stadium Center. She aided Kansas State women's basketball in the planning and implementation of the first Women's Basketball Tip-Off Event prior to the 2018-19 season.
Before her arrival in Manhattan, Connolly served in a number of roles at Virginia Tech from 2015-18. She started her time in Blacksburg in premium seating and then added recruiting assistant for the Hokie football program and finally capped her time in the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund as a special events coordinator.
Connolly is a graduate of Oklahoma, where she received her bachelor of business administration in economics in 2011 and a master of higher education in intercollegiate athletic administration in 2015.
She is married to Ryan Connolly, who serves as the Director of Baseball Operations for Kansas State.
Kansas State concluded the 2018-19 season with a 21-12 overall record and an appearance in the 2019 NCAA Tournament. This was the fifth straight season the Wildcats reached the postseason under the direction of Mittie.
The Wildcats ranked among the top-35 in the nation for average attendance for the 18th consecutive season in 2018-10.
K-State will return nine letter winners from the 2018-19 season for the 2019-20 season, led by the trio of senior Peyton Williams, junior Rachel Ranke and sophomore Christianna Carr. The Wildcats will also welcome in redshirt freshman Ayoka Lee and freshmen Emma Chapman, Emilee Ebert and Jada Thorpe.
