Mar 30, 2020 | Football, Men's Basketball, Athletics
MANHATTAN, Kan. - Home to one of the largest student sections in the nation, K-State Athletics, in coordination with Kansas State University's Student Governing Association, announced student athletic passes for 2020-21 K-State football and men's basketball home games are now on sale with the start of enrollment for the fall semester.
K-State Athletics has opted not to make any changes to student pass pricing or sections for the 2020-2021 season. K-State students will continue to have midfield and midcourt seats, and new this year will be the addition of monthly membership payments so that students have the opportunity to spread the cost over eight months, from August 2020 through March 2021. Students can also choose to add their pass to their tuition statement.
"The environments at Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Bramlage Coliseum have always been a difference maker for our teams and student-athletes, and our terrific student body plays the largest role in that success," Athletics Director Gene Taylor said. "This semester has certainly been challenging and trying for everyone, and I know that all of our fans, including our students, will be excited to get back to a routine of normalcy which includes classes and Wildcat sporting events."
"Spending K-State gamedays cheering on the Wildcats next to my friends have been some of the best memories during my time at K-State," said Student Body President Jansen Penny. "We are proud to continue our relationship with the Athletics Department and appreciate the shared commitment to keep prices the same while offering more flexible payment options and attendance incentives."
Student Athletic Pass Options:
For every student pass sold during the 2020-21 academic year, K-State Athletics will donate $1 to a campus initiative that directly supports student life. At the time of ordering, students will be able to select which of the following four on-going initiatives they want their $1 to go towards:
New this year will also be the introduction of auto-renewing memberships. ICAT and GA memberships will auto-renew each school year based on enrollment status. With the purchase of a student membership - either ICAT or GA, the student pass holder agrees to enter into the automatic renewal program. Through this program, student pass holders will have their membership automatically renewed for the upcoming academic year each August 1st, until such time as they choose to opt-out of their membership. If the student pass holder is a graduating senior or no longer enrolled at Kansas State University on August 1st, his or her membership will be automatically cancelled.
Student passes offer a considerable discount over general public season tickets with the average value of a student season-ticket for both sports at $1,400. Students have multiple options when it comes to payment as well. At the time of ordering, the student will be able to choose between applying the full cost of an ICAT or GA membership to their tuition statement, making one lump-sum payment, or enrolling in an eight-month payment plan. The eight-month payment plan is not available if ordering an individual sport package.
All other K-State sporting events offer free admission for K-State students with the student's Wildcat ID - including women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, baseball, cross country, men's and women's golf, rowing, women's tennis, and track and field.

K-State Athletics and Student Governing Association:
K-State Athletics (KSA) and the Student Governing Association (SGA) have worked together for decades to mutually advance the interests of Kansas State University students, including historic collaboration leading to the construction of Ahearn Field House, KSU Stadium (now Bill Snyder Family Stadium), Bramlage Coliseum, and many other projects.
K-State Athletics is the lone athletics program in the state of Kansas and one of only eight in the country to operate with no direct or indirect university and student funding or state support. KSA, in conjunction with SGA, ended its annual receipt of student privilege fees in 2018-19. The department also manages and funds the K-State Marching Band's annual operating budget of $200,000, while it contributed more than $6.8 million this past year in total payments to the University base budget for tuition and fees and annual institutional support fees.
Earlier this spring, despite the Student Athletics Ticket Agreement being terminated due to failure to meet benchmarks, K-State Athletics reaffirmed that no changes to student seating and athletic pass prices for football and men's basketball would occur for the 2020-2021 academic year.
