FORT WORTH, Texas – Kansas State held an early eight-point lead on Wednesday night, but TCU used a big run in the first half to take control of the game and defeat the Wildcats, 64-44 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. K-State has now dropped four straight road games.

The Wildcats (10-15, 4-10 Big 12) opened the game with a 10-2 run, as Bri Craig and Katya Leick connected on 3-point field goals to give K-State the eight-point edge with 14:52 to play.

After K-State built a 12-7 lead with 10:59 to play, the Horned Frogs (15-11, 6-8) closed out the frame on a 22-1 run to secure a 29-13 lead at the break. TCU was paced in the first half by Natalie Ventress with 12 points, while Chelsea Prince recorded six points, four rebounds and five steals.

In the opening half, K-State was 5-of-23 from the floor (.217) and was forced into 16 turnovers. The Wildcats opened the game 3-of-4 from the field and end the half by shooting 2-of-19. The Horned Frogs were 11-of-26 from the field and scored 13 points off of K-State's turnovers.

K-State was led by Breanna Lewis with 14 points, six rebounds and three blocks. This was her fourth game in double figures, her 10th with five or more rebounds and her 11th game with two or more blocks. Ashia Woods tallied eight points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals.

TCU was paced by Zahna Medley and Ventress. Medley finished with 16 points and five rebounds, Ventress added 15 points and surpassed the 1,000 point mark for her career.

For the game, K-State shot .309 from the floor and turned the ball over 22 times for the night. The Horned Frogs shot .489 from the field, including .571 in the second half.
