MANHATTAN, Kan. – Former Kansas State wide receiver Byron Pringle is returning to the Super Bowl as he helped the Kansas City Chiefs earn a 38-24 victory over Buffalo in the AFC Championship on Sunday.
Pringle, who will be playing in Super Bowl LV in his hometown of Tampa, Florida, is the first former Wildcat to play on consecutive Super Bowls. He made his second-straight playoff start against the Bills and hauled in three passes for 22 yards. He also returned a pair of kickoffs for a 21-yard average.
Seeing increased action from a week ago, Pringle was in for 52 of the Chiefs' 65 offensive snaps (80%) against the Bills after playing on 32 snaps in last week's Divisional Round victory over Cleveland.
The Chiefs will take on Tampa Bay in Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7, inside Raymond James Stadium. The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. (CT) and be televised by CBS.
Pringle was one of 13 former Wildcats to see action in the NFL this season. For a final recap of players whose teams did not make the playoffs, click here. For those that finished in the Wild Card Round, click here, and for those that were done after the Divisional Round, click here.
