K-State Athletics is taking nominations for its first-ever Varsity K Club Woman of the Year award. The award will recognize excellence in, and outstanding contributions to, one's professional field/career. All former Wildcat female student-athletes are eligible to be nominated. This year's honoree will be recognized at the annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day women's basketball game on Saturday, February 5, when the Wildcats host Texas Tech.
"We are excited to announce this award to recognize our female student-athletes who have gone on to do tremendous work in their varied careers," said Deputy Athletics Director Jill Shields. "We have alums all over the country who have amazing accomplishments in the medical field, in the corporate world, and beyond, and we want to share those stories with our fans who supported these great Wildcats during their playing careers here at K-State."
