K-State Unveils 2022 Baseball Schedule

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Fourth-year head coach Pete Hughes announced K-State's 2022 baseball schedule, which begins Friday, February 18 and features 29 home games at Tointon Family Stadium.
The Wildcats officially begin the 2022 campaign at the State Farm College Baseball Showdown in Arlington, Texas. K-State will face off with Arizona, Michigan and Auburn over three days at Globe Life Field, the home of the Texas Rangers.
After an eight-game roadtrip through Southern California, K-State will open its home slate Tuesday, March 8 against Nebraska. The first home series is scheduled for March 11-13 against Central Connecticut State.
In the month of March, the Wildcats will host Morehead State (March 18-20), Air Force (March 22-23) and Northern Colorado (March 29-30). Other home non-conference games this season include Creighton (April 5), Omaha (April 19) and Wichita State (May 3).
K-State begins its Big 12 schedule at TCU from March 25-27, with the first home conference series set for April 1-3 against Oklahoma State.
The Cats' home league schedule also features Texas, a 2021 College World Series qualifier, from April 14-16 before series against Kansas (May 6-8) and Baylor (May 13-15).
K-State's 55-game schedule features 22 games against nine teams that qualified for the 2021 NCAA Baseball Championship, including home contests against Central Connecticut State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Texas and UC Irvine. Thirteen games against postseason squads will be at Tointon Family Stadium.
The Wildcats' road non-conference slate includes midweek stops at Omaha (March 15), Wichita State (April 18), Nebraska (April 26) and Virginia Tech (May 17).
The 2022 Phillips 66 Baseball Championship will take place May 25-29, as it moves from Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City to its new home at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
