
Lee, Glenn Collect Big 12 Weekly Honors

MANHATTAN, Kansas – For the fourth time in program history and the first time since the 2019-20 season, Kansas State women's basketball has swept the Big 12 Conference weekly honors as Ayoka Lee garnered Player of the Week while Brylee Glenn earned her second Freshman of the Week citation.
The last K-State duo to earn Big 12 Player and Freshman/Newcomer of the Week honors in the same week was Peyton Williams and Ayoka Lee on February 17, 2020. Prior to Williams and Lee were Nicole Ohlde and Kendra Wecker on Jan. 7, 2002 and Nicky Ramage and Olga Firsova in the same week on Nov. 23, 1998.
Lee and Glenn helped the Wildcats improve to 8-0 at home this season with a 68-56 win over Oregon on Saturday.
Lee tallied game-highs of 19 points on an efficient 7-of-10 from the field, 12 rebounds and four blocks. She also added a 5-of-6 effort from the free throw line and a steal in 33 minutes of action.
This was Lee's eighth double-double this season. She owns six double-doubles this season that include at least four or more blocks.
Lee leads the nation in total points (285), total blocks (48) and field goals made (118). She ranks second in the nation for double-doubles (8), blocks per game (4.0) third in the nation in points per game (23.8) total rebounds (133) and field goal attempts (207).
Against the Ducks, Glenn tied her career-highs with 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting including two connections from beyond the arc. She also set a career-high with three assists and tied her career-high with two blocks and also pocketed a steal.
Glenn helped the Wildcats stay in front over a five-minute span at the end of the second quarter and the start of the third. She scored three points to close out the first half to send the Wildcats into the locker room with a five-point lead. She then buried a 3-pointer to start a 7-0 run in the third quarter, increasing K-State's lead to nine with six minutes remaining in the third.
Glenn put the game on ice in the final 25 seconds with a steal and transition layup to seal the final margin.
Over her last five games, Glenn is averaging 11.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks.
K-State ends its non-conference schedule on Wednesday, December 22, as the Wildcats host UIC at 1 p.m. Tickets for Wednesday's game can be purchased at kstatesports.com/tickets, calling (800) 221-CATS or in person at the K-State Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum.
