ARGYLE, Texas – The Kansas State women's golf team fell two places during the final round of The Bruzzy on Monday to finish 13th at Lantana Golf Club. The Wildcats finished the third round at 9-over par 297 to conclude the tournament at 24-over par 888.

"It was a disappointing result for us," head coach Kristi Knight said. "There was such a small margin separating these teams and the ladies did their best. We were unable to keep the momentum and overall level of play we had in round one."

Senior Reid Isaac fell out of the top 10 to tie for 15th. She concluded the event with a 54-hole score of 1-over par 217. Niamh McSherry finished second among the Wildcats with a three-round score of 6-over par 222 - including a 1-over par 73 on Monday - to tie for 37th.

Haley Vargas fought her way back after shooting 12-over par 186 during the first two rounds on Sunday. She carded a third-round score of even-par 72 to jump 15 places to a tie for 60th at 12-over par 228.

"Shout out to Haley," Knight said. "She rebounded big time today with an even-par round even in challenging windy conditions."

Napua Glossner and Heather Fortushniak tied for 70th at 16-over par 232.

Oklahoma State picked up where it left off after the first two rounds of play. Even with a 4-over par 292 score on Monday, the Cowgirls still finished 13 strokes in front of second-place Texas Tech at 15-under par 849. On the individual leaderboard, OSU's Lianna Bailey kept her commanding lead to take the tournament title with a score of 11-under par 205, eight strokes ahead of a tie for second place.

After two weekends of play, K-State will take a two-week break before turning to the Houston Oaks Invitational, April 12-13, held at Houston Oaks Golf Club in Hockley, Texas.
