K-State Collects CoSIDA Publication & Digital Design Honors

MANHATTAN, Kansas – The Kansas State Athletics Communication department recently received a total of three national honors for excellence in 2020-21 from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
During the last 16 years, Kansas State's publications and posters have garnered 46 Top 5 CoSIDA national honors and 56 named among the top three in the district.
The Athletics Communications Office, under the direction of Executive Associate Athletics Director for Communications and Public Relations Kenny Lannou, collected the top honor in Video Highlight Feature for the 2020 recap.
Staff members to receive the award were Jay Moline – Director of Social Media and Digital Engagement, Cody Isern – K-StateHD.TV Video Producer and Denver Morris – K-StateHD.TV Student Assistant.
In the Spring Posters category, K-State's men's golf poster finished third. The poster was designed by Ron Cook – Graphic Designer, Ryan Lackey – Assistant Athletic Director for Communications and Moline.
Over the last 13 seasons, Cook has received over 40 top-10 honors for K-State sports posters, media guide covers and programs/yearbooks.
In the Spring Game Notes category, K-State's baseball notes finished fourth. The baseball game notes were created and edited by Chris Brown – Associate Director of Athletics Communications. This was Brown's third straight top-five honor for his baseball game notes.
Brown was also named the 2020-21 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Midwest Region SID of the Year.
Also, recent K-State Athletics Communications addition, Alissa Volante, as part of the Purdue Fort Wayne Athletic Media Services was name the AVCA Men's Volleyball National SID of the Year for that office's work to promote the 40th anniversary of the IPFW/Purdue Fort Wayne men's volleyball program.
The K-State Athletics Communications Office recently collected its second straight Super 11 Award from the Football Writers Association of America. The award is based on media accessibility, relationships and operations.
