
K-State to Host Fourth Annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day Event

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Kansas State Athletics will host a pregame clinic from 3:30pm – 5:30pm in the Ice Family Basketball Center and the K-State Football Indoor Complex in conjunction with the K-State women's basketball game against Texas Tech on February 5 to celebrate National Girls & Women in Sports Day.
The pregame clinic will be open to kids in the first through eighth grades and will be hosted by K-State women's teams. All participants in the clinic will receive a free K-State headband and free admission to the women's basketball game at 6:30pm.

This February marks the 36th annual National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). The Women's Sports Foundation leads the nationwide celebration inspiring girls and women to play and be active, to realize their full power. The confidence, strength and character gained through sports participation are the very tools girls and women need to become strong leaders in sports and life.
