
Bolding, Myers Collect All-Big 12 Accolades

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State saw two players grab Big 12 end-of-the-year awards as announced by the conference office Tuesday. Senior Sydney Bolding was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team while freshman Shaylee Myers was named to the All-Big 12 Rookie Team.
Bolding, a member of the 2022 Rambler Challenge and K-State Invitational All-Tournament Teams, topped K-State with a .312 hitting percentage and 38 aces. She ranks second in the conference with 141 blocks and a 1.32 block average, holding the 25th and 30th ranks in the nation in both categories.
The 6-foot-5 product of Pickens, S.C., has set career highs in kills, digs, blocks, aces and hitting percentage in her second season at K-State. She has ten matches with ten kills or more and 15 matches with five or more blocks. The senior collected her career-high four aces in four matches.
The middle blocker was one of three players to play in all 110 sets for the Wildcats this season. Bolding led K-State in kills in four matches and was the blocking leader in 16 matches.
Myers, a true-freshman for the Wildcats, led the team in kills per set with 3.32 and 3.75 points per set. She sits seventh in the conference in both stat classifications. Myers totaled 216 kills, 12 aces and 90 digs for the Wildcats.
The Lincoln, Nebraska, native gathered 12 matches with double-digit kills and eight matches with five or more digs. Myers donned her first collegiate double-double at Rice with 17 kills and ten digs while marking a match-high 23 kills against Missouri and a four-ace performance versus Florida A&M.
The 6-foot outside hitter led K-State in kills through six matches in the season, making 11 starts in 23 appearances. Myers collected the team's first conference award on Oct. 04, claiming Big 12 Rookie of the Week.
This is the first post-season honor for both Myers and Bolding as the Wildcats wrapped up the 2022 season at 15-14 overall and a 6-10 record in Big 12 play.
