Jul 08, 2022 | Women's Basketball
MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State will get its second taste of 3-on-3 basketball this offseason, as the Wildcats will send four players from its 2022-23 roster to the 2022 Red Bull USA Basketball Qualifier in Charlotte, North Carolina. Games will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
The four players headed to Charlotte are: senior Gabby Gregory and sophomores Brylee Glenn, Jaelyn Glenn and Serena Sundell. The Glenns and Sundell, along with junior center Taylor Lauterbach, represented K-State at the 2022 Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals in May at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. Jaelyn Glenn averaged 5.5 points, while Sundell added 3.0 per game in K-State's four games.
Played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock, the first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.
In partnership with USA Basketball, approximately 10 men's and women's qualifier tournaments are being held around the country, plus four regional championship events, which will help identify a new pipeline of 3x3 talent who have a goal of competing in the 2023 Red Bull USA Basketball 3X Nationals.
