DALLAS, Texas - Kansas State senior Manon Donche-Gay fired a 2-under par 70 on Saturday morning to lead the Wildcats during the second round of the 2023 Big 12 Championship held at the par-72, 6,215-yard Dallas Athletic Club.
As a team, the Wildcats shot a 13-over par 301 during the second round, and they will enter Sunday's final round in ninth place with a 36-hole score of 36-over par 612.
A product of Avignon, France, Donche-Gay vaulted 13 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for ninth place at 1-over par 145. During an up-and-down day, she carded eight birdies and six bogeys.
"Manon played well today," head coach Kristi Knight said. "As a team, we tried to fight back. We got off to a better start, but it turned out to be a roller coaster day for us. We made quite a few birdies, but a few penalty shots and three putts kept us from maintaining momentum. I'm proud of the effort by all today."

Gabriela McNelly, the Wildcats' alternate for the Big 12 Championship, subbed into the No. 5 spot in the lineup. The Mico, Texas, product shot a 10-over par 82 on Saturday.

Iowa State's Pimkwan Chookaew along with Oklahoma State's Clemence Martin and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard are all tied for first on the individual leaderboard at 4-under par 140.
