With temperatures expected in the triple digits for Saturday's season-opening football game against SEMO, K-State Athletics is reminding fans to prepare for the heat as part of their gameday planning.
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day as you tailgate. Limit your intake of alcohol and sugary drinks.
- It is permissible for guests to bring into Bill Snyder Family Stadium bottled water, flavored water and sports drinks, provided they are in a clear plastic commercial container no larger than 1 liter that has not been opened or is empty of its contents. Frozen bottles are prohibited.
- Free water refill stations are located at the Southwest, Southeast, Northeast and Northwest corners of the main concourse and also on the View Level.
- Sodexo Concessions has stocked an unprecedented amount of bottled water for sale throughout the stadium that can be refilled for free at the hydration stations.
- Heat Stations are located on the Southwest, Southeast and View Level where fans may receive a cool towel.
- For those needing relief from the heat, the concourse of Bramlage Coliseum will open at 1 p.m. Restrooms will be available.
- Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and a hat or cap to protect your face and head. Please remember that umbrellas are not permitted inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
- For fans needing medical assistance inside the stadium, First Aid Stations are located just inside Gate E on the east side and behind Section 2 on the west side.
