K-State in Fourth Entering Final Round

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Kansas State men's golf team turned in an even-par score of 284 on Tuesday, as the Wildcats dropped two spots into fourth place during the second round of The Prestige held at the par-71, 7,129-yard Norman Course at PGA WEST.
K-State enters Wednesday's final round at 10-under par 558, one shot behind third-place Duke and four shots back of second-place Kansas.
The Wildcats were led on Tuesday by senior Luke O'Neill and sophomore Alex Lindstrom, as each player carded a 1-under par 70 to bounce back from over-par first rounds. O'Neill moved 16 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 40th at even-par 142, while Lindstrom rose 14 spots into a tie for 79th at 4-over par 146.
Junior Nicklaus Mason leads the Wildcats overall as he is tied for 13th place at 4-under par 138 following an even-par round on Tuesday. Two shots back at 2-under par 140 and in a tie for 25th place is fellow junior Cooper Schultz, who went 2-over par 73 in the second round.
Junior JP Roller is tied for 33rd place at 1-under par 141 following a 2-over par second round.
Junior Ian McCrary is playing in a separate individual tournament at The Golf Club at Terra Lago, and he is tied for 34th place at 4-over par 148 following a second-round score of 3-over par 75 on Tuesday.
Texas Tech saw its lead expand, as the Red Raiders turned in an 11-under par second round and are at 24-over par 544 for the event. Kansas' Cecil Belisle took over the top spot on the individual leaderboard by one shot at 9-under par 133.
The final round of The Prestige will tee off Wednesday morning at 6:45 a.m. (PT). Live results can be followed by clicking here.
