MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State sophomore women's golfer Noa van Beek was honored for her work in the classroom on Tuesday as she was named an Academic All-District performer, College Sports Communicators announced.
This is the first-career honor for van Beek and the second-straight year a Wildcat women's golfer has earned the distinction after Remington Isaac picked up the accolade last year.
van Beek, a business administration major who holds a 3.759 GPA, was a regular member of the Wildcats' scoring lineup this past year, competing in eight events and holding a 74.59 scoring average. A native of Oene, Netherlands, van Beek's best finish of the 2023-24 season was a tie for eighth place at the White Sands Invitational, helping the Wildcats earn the team title. She also tied her career-low score of 3-under par 213 at the Westbrook Invitational.
van Beek helped the Wildcats set a new school record with a 290.25 scoring average and four top-five finishes during the 2023-24 season, the first under head coach Stew Burke. Her performance at the Westbrook Invitational helped K-State set the new school record for lowest 54-hole score (840), which included a second-round score of 277 to tie the program's 18-hole score record.
