Wildcats Produce 34 Academic All-Big 12 Honorees

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State football produced 34 Academic All-Big 12 honorees – the sixth-straight season with at least 30 accolades – as the conference office announced the 349-member football team.
K-State now has a Big 12-leading 350 total citations since 2014, which is 34 more than the next closest program (Iowa State, 313). The Wildcats finished the 2024 season ranked third in the league with its 34 honorees, just behind the 37 put up by both Iowa State and Kansas.
Redshirt freshman tight end Will Anciaux (kinesiology) was nominated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He was joined on the Academic All-Big 12 team by Drake Bequeaith (mechanical engineering), Mikey Bergeron (business administration), Michael Capria (management), Jet Dineen (communication studies), Jack Fabris (open option), Wesley Fair (management), Jackson Fullmer (business administration), Keenan Garber (social sciences), Sam Hecht (construction science and management), Damian Ilalio (athletic training and rehab sciences), Jadon Jackson (social transformation studies), Joe Jackson (kinesiology), Avery Johnson (business administration), Alex Key (construction science and management), Isaac Koch (finance), Sterling Lockett (management), Brayden Loftin (kinesiology), Simon McClannan (kinesiology), Andrew Metzger (business administration), Austin Moore (kinesiology), Asa Newsom (psychology), Garrett Oakley (finance), Chiddi Obiazor (communication studies), Beau Palmer (marketing), John Pastore (management), Desmond Purnell (kinesiology), Austin Romaine (management), Andrew Sonner (computer engineering), Cody Stufflebean (industrial engineering), Chris Tennant (finance), Rex Van Wyhe (construction science and management), La'James White (social sciences) and Zach Wittenberg (kinesiology).
To qualify for Academic All-Big 12 honors, student-athletes must maintain a 3.20 GPA or higher either cumulative or over the two previous semesters and must have participated in 20% of their team's scheduled contests. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. Senior student-athletes who have participated for a minimum of two years and meet all the criteria except percent of participation are also eligible.
