K-State Trio Takes Home All-Big 12 Honors

Dec 02, 2025 | Volleyball

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Senior Shaylee Myers' unanimous selection to the 2025 All-Big 12 First Team highlighted K-State's three all-conference honors, as the league office announced its yearly award winners Tuesday.

In addition to Myers, senior Ava LeGrand and redshirt junior Aniya Clinton each earned Second Team recognition. It marks the first time the trio has been named to the All-Big 12 Team, as Myers and Clinton were previously selected to the Big 12 All-Rookie Team in 2022 and 2023, respectively. In total, seven players have collected nine All-Big 12 honors under third-year head coach Jason Mansfield.

K-State was one of seven schools from the Big 12 to have at least three players selected to the All-Big 12 teams, while it marked the school's fourth consecutive season with multiple selections. The awards were selected by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their institution. A full list of the 2025 award winners and All-Big 12 teams can be found HERE.

A product of Lincoln, Nebraska, Myers continues to etch her name into K-State history, as she became just the sixth Wildcat to earn unanimous All-Big 12 First Team honors. She enters the NCAA Tournament just three kills shy of becoming the 20th player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills.

On October 1, she set the program's rally-scoring era single match kills record with her 34-kill performance against West Virginia, while she recently joined the program's 1,000-point club. A three-time Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honoree, she leads the conference and ranks ninth nationally in kills per set (4.76), while also sitting second in the league and 12th in the country in points per set (5.23).

This season, LeGrand has solidified her role as the Wildcats' primary setter, leading the team in both assists and service aces (29). She ranks third in the Big 12 and 37th nationally with 10.15 assists per set, while her 995 total assists stand sixth in the league. LeGrand has posted a team-leading 16 double-doubles this year, becoming the first Wildcat to record 16 or more in a single season since Katie Brand's All-American season in 2016. She is just five assists away from reaching the first 1,000-assist season of her career.

Clinton, the Wildcats' lone Big 12 All-Preseason pick, is second on the team in kills (325), kills per set (3.69), points (370.5) and points per set (4.21), ranking 11th in the conference in points per set. The Midland, Texas native has recorded 17 double-digit kill outings this season, including three matches with 20 or more kills and consecutive 25-kill performances. Her eight double-doubles in 2025 rank second on the team, while she is third overall in total digs (217).

K-State (17-9, 10-8 Big 12), which earned its first at-large bid the NCAA Tournament since 2021, will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to face San Diego (25-4, 18-0 WCC) on Friday, December 5 at 4:30 p.m. in the opening round at John Cook Arena at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
