K-State in 11th at Big 12 Championship

HOCKLEY, Texas – Kansas State was unable to make a move up the leaderboard during the second round of the 2025 Big 12 Championship on Wednesday as the Wildcats carded a score of 19-over par 303 at the par-71, 6,249-yard Houston Oaks Golf Club.

The 28th-ranked Wildcats fell three spots to 11th place with a 36-hole score of 30-over par 598. Despite scoring over 300 on the day, the Wildcats are still within five shots of seventh place entering the final round. Wednesday's second round proved to be difficult for all 14 teams as there were no under-par rounds, and the course played a collective 5.17 shots over par on the day.

K-State's day was highlighted by senior Sophie Bert, who posted an even-par score to improve 13 spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 14th place at 3-over par 145.The Deurle, Belgium, native was one of only 13 competitors among the 70-player field to shoot either even or under par on Wednesday. She tallied four birdies during the second round, including three over her first seven holes.

Bert is one stroke behind another senior, Carla Bernat, who is tied for 10th place at 2-over par 144 following a second-round total of 4-over par 75.

Freshman Nanami Nakashima improved six spots on the leaderboard thanks to a second-round total of 6-over par 77. The Kani, Japan, product is tied for 52nd place at 13-over par 155. Junior Noa van Beek is one shot back and tied for 54th place, while sophomore Alenka Navarro is one stroke behind van Beek and tied for 58th place.

No. 30 Oklahoma State climbed three spots to take over the top spot on the leaderboard at 6-over par 574. The Cowgirls are two strokes ahead of No. 26 Houston and three shots clear of 15th-ranked TCU.

There is a three-way tie for first place on the individual leaderboard at 2-under par 140 between Oklahoma State's Marta Silchenko, TCU's Camille Min-Gaultier and Houston's Natalie Saint Germain, the latter of whom improved 17 spots on Wednesday thanks to the best round of the day, a 4-under par 67.
