Baseball to Hold NCAA Selection Show Watch Party Monday

MANHATTAN, Kansas – The Kansas State baseball team will hold a watch party for the NCAA Division I Selection Show on Monday, May 26 at the Shamrock Zone, as the Wildcats learn their postseason fate during the live broadcast on ESPN2 beginning at 11:00 a.m. CT.

Fans and supporters are encouraged to come out and be part of the excitement with K-State Athletics and the team as they watch the unveiling of the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament field of 64.

Doors to the Shamrock Zone will open at 10:30 a.m., with the Selection Show scheduled to air live at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2. Attending Wildcat fans may park in the west lot of Bill Snyder Family Stadium and enter through the northwest entrance of Bramlage Coliseum.

K-State, which finished the regular season 31-23 overall and 17-13 in Big 12 action, is projected to be a third-seeded team by D1Baseball and Baseball America for the regional rounds. A year ago, the Wildcats came out of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championships with an RPI in the high 40's and overall record of 32-24.

Junior Maximus Martin and graduate Keegan O'Connor earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors, while AJ Evasco was selected to the All-Freshman Team. Additionally, Seth Dardar, Jacob Frost and James Guyette received honorable mention recognition. Under head coach Pete Hughes, K-State has collected 42 All-Big 12 honors.
