K-State WBB Receives Special Mention on WBCA Academic Honor Roll

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women's basketball was successful in the classroom as well as the court during the 2024-25 season, as the Wildcats received Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Honor Roll Special Mention for its team grade point average last season. K-State was one of eight Big 12 programs to be included on the WBCA Academic Honor Roll.

Under the direction of head coach Jeff Mittie, K-State women's basketball completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team grade point average of 3.317. This was the fourth straight season K-State received Special Mention honors for the WBCA Academic Honor Roll. 

During the 2024-25 season, K-State received six Academic All-Big 12 honors, two College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District citations and one CSC Academic All-American Second Team member (Serena Sundell).

In Mittie's 11 seasons at K-State, the Wildcats have collected 65 Academic All-Big 12 citations, five Big 12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year recipients, 12 Big 12 Academic All-Rookie Team honorees, 14 CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-District honorees, six CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-Americans and one Senior CLASS Award finalist.
