CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kansas State's Alex Lindstrom carded a second-round score of 3-over par 74 on Tuesday during the second round of the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional held at the par-71, 7,361-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club.
Lindstrom fell to a tie for 29th place with a 36-hole score of 1-under par 141 ahead of Wednesday's final round.
"I thought Alex played a lot better than the score would indicate," head coach Grant Robbins said. "He hit a lot of quality shots, especially on the back 9. However, his speed was a little off on the greens, and those 5-6 foot putts he made yesterday just missed a little on the high side today. He will make some adjustments to his putting, and he is poised for a low round tomorrow."
A native of Halmstad, Sweden, Lindstrom started off on a right foot with a birdie on No. 2, but he bogeyed Nos. 4, 6 and 7 for a 2-over par front 9. His second half of the round nearly mirrored the first as he birdied No. 10 with bogeys on Nos. 13 and 17.
Lindstrom ranks 12th among competitors that are currently in line to not be on an advancing team. The top five teams and top individual on a non-advancing team will move on to the 2026 NCAA Championship. Oklahoma's Ryder Cowan holds the individual lead at 9-under par 133, while the Sooners are the top team at 28-under par 540.
The final round of the 2026 NCAA Corvallis Regional is on Wednesday with Lindstrom teeing off at 9:42 a.m. (PT). Live results can be followed on SCOREBOARD powered by Clippd, while video coverage is available on Babygrande Golf.
