MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State women's golfers Stalee Fields, Casey Kang, Nanami Nakashima and Noa van Beek were honored for their work in the classroom this past season as they were named to the 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars Team, the organization announced Monday.
van Beek picked up the honor for a fourth-straight season, while the other three were honored for the first time in their careers.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of women's golfers. To be selected, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the season and have played in 50% of the program's regularly-scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
The honors continue K-State's excellent performance in the classroom as all four were honored by the Big 12 in late June. Nakashima and van Beek were named to the Spring Academic All-Big 12 Team, while Fields and Kang were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team.
An outgoing senior from Oene, Netherlands, van Beek finished her career ranked second in school history with a 74.08 scoring average over 116 rounds as she competed in 41 events to tie for 10th in school history. Her scoring average of 73.17 this past season ranked sixth in school history thanks in part to a school-record 54-hole score of 202 during the Westbrook Invitational.
Nakashima, who hails from Kani, Japan, held a 72.46 scoring average as a sophomore to rank fourth in program history. She finished the year with eight top-20 finishes and three inside the top-10, which included a victory at the Powercat Invitational.
Fields and Kang opened their careers with scoring averages of 74.75 and 75.95, respectively. Fields, a native of Fort Worth, Texas, competed in seven events on the year with three of those in the scoring lineup, including the NCAA Louisville Regional. Kang also competed in seven events with six coming as a member of the scoring lineup.
All four players were an integral part of the Wildcats ranking second in program history with a 289.37 team scoring average.
