K-State Women’s Basketball Adds Tampakou to 2026-27 Roster

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women's basketball head coach Jeff Mittie has added another international talent to the 2026-27 roster, as center Tzoana Tampakou from Greece has signed with the Wildcats.
"We are excited to add Tzoana for the upcoming year," stated Mittie. "She is a true center that has excellent skill around the basket with both hands and a great feel for the pick and roll and high-low game."
Tampakou, a 6'5" product of Lesvos, played for Greece at the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket Division B and averaged 6.0 points on a .500 field goal percentage, 7.3 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.3 steals and 0.3 blocks in seven games played. She ranked 11th in the event in rebounds. She tallied a double-double in her final game of the event, carding 10 points and 10 rebounds and added three assists against Slovakia.
In the 2024 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket Division B, Tampakou averaged 5.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in three games.
Tampakou aided Greece to a third-place finish at the 2023 FIBA U18 European Championship Division B.
The 2026-27 K-State roster will feature players from the United States, Belgium, France, Greece, Slovenia and Spain.
K-State returns seven letterwinners for the 2026-27 season, which accounted for 74 percent of the assists, 55 percent of the points and 52 percent of the rebounds.
