Ahearn Field House A-Z
ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Accessible seating is available in the northeast and southeast corners at court level. An ADA entrance into Ahearn Field House is located on the east side of the building at the overhead door.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
It is prohibited to bring alcohol into Ahearn Field House. Violators will be subject to ejection. Intoxicated or alcohol impaired guests may be refused admission or ejected from the facility.
BAGS & BAG SEARCH
Guests will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package or container into the venue:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12.” (Official K-State team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through K-State Super Store locations).
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
- Small clutch bags, no larger than 5.5” x 7.5”, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags.
- An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
*Non-approved seat cushions and chairbacks include large traditional seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments, or covers. Seat cushions and chairbacks must be 18” or less in width.
BANNERS & SIGNS
Banners and pep signs are allowed provided they are hand-held of reasonable size, can be stored beneath the seat and do not block the view of other patrons. Any banner or sign containing profanity or objectionable material will be confiscated.
BOTTLES/CANS
It is permissible for guests to bring into Ahearn Field House bottled water, flavored water and sports drinks, provided they are in a clear plastic commercial container no larger than 1 liter that has not been opened or is empty of its contents. Frozen bottles are prohibited. It is impermissible to bring in any other type of beverage into the field house. Plastic baby bottles are permitted into the stadium if the infant is with the guest but are subject to inspection by security upon entering.
CONCESSIONS
Concessions are available at court level behind the north bleachers. No other food may be brought into the field house.
CONDUCT/EJECTION
In keeping with K-State’s pledge of the Best Fan Experience in the Big 12, fans are encouraged to treat visitors, players, coaches and officials with courtesy and respect. Abusive language or disorderly conduct is unacceptable and unwelcome in Ahearn Field House and may result in ejection. Anyone who interferes with the game by coming onto the court or by throwing objects will be ejected and possibly arrested. K-State Athletics reserve the right to eject any patron whose behavior is against policy, unruly or illegal in nature. Event tickets will be forfeited without refund. Revocation of season tickets or arrest is possible.
GATES
Gates open one hour prior to first serve. All patrons ages 2 and older must present a ticket to enter Ahearn Fieldhouse. K-State students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
LOST & FOUND
Items lost during a match can be claimed at the ticket office at the east entrance. To claim items after a match, contact the Athletics Operations office in Bramlage Coliseum at 785-532-7600.
MERCHANDISE
Officially licensed K-State merchandise is available for purchase just inside the east entrance. No other merchandise is permitted to be sold on the grounds of Ahearn Field House during K-State Volleyball matches.
PARKING
Fans may park in the KSU Student Union Parking Garage (for a fee) or in the D-1 Lot west of Memorial Stadium after 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and any time on weekends.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Cameras are permitted in Ahearn Field House for personal use only. Any commercial photography (large-lens with a stand or tripod) is prohibited. Use of any device with a flash is strictly prohibited. Video cameras are prohibited. In no instance should anyone taking photographs block aisleways and/or seating areas or otherwise interfere with another fan’s enjoyment of the game.
PROGRAMS
Match programs are free and can be found at the Fan Experience Table near the east entrance of Ahearn Field House.
PROHIBITED ITEMS & ACTIVITIES
- Alcoholic beverages or controlled substances
- Glass bottles
- Possession or use of firearms, explosives (including fireworks) or other weapons
- Noisemakers
- Portable chairback seats exceeding 18” in width
- Large flags, flagpoles and items obstructing sightlines
- Live animals (except Guide and Service Dogs)
- Throwing of any objects
- Banners, placards and leaflets not pre-approved by the Athletics Department
- Standing in aisles and behind seating areas/aisles on concourse
- Abusive, profane, and vulgar language or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches, or team representatives
RESTROOMS
The men’s restroom is located just north of the east entrance of Ahearn Field House while the women’s restroom is located just south of the east entrance. ADA Accessible restrooms are located at the north end of the field house.
SERVICE ANIMALS
Live animals or pets, except for service or guide dogs, are not allowed except during promotional activities.
SMOKING
Kansas State University policy prohibits the smoking of cigarettes, cigars, pipes or burning tobacco in any other form or device, as well as the use of electronic cigarettes, vaporizers, hookah or other water pipe devices and all other related devices on university property, except inside personal vehicles.
SOLICITATION
University policy prohibits solicitation of any unauthorized item for sale, trade, or giveaway on the grounds of the Kansas State University. This includes solicitation of charitable donations and game or event tickets. Violators of this policy will be asked to leave the field house grounds and may be cited for trespassing.
STROLLERS
Strollers are permitted into Ahearn Field House. Strollers may not be stowed in aisleways or walkways.
TICKETS
General Information: All persons ages 2 and older must present a ticket to enter Ahearn Field House. Tickets may be purchased at the ticket office at the east entrance.
Will Call: Pre-purchased general public tickets may be picked up at the east entrance ticket office beginning one hour prior to first serve. Only the person whose name is on the ticket order may pick up the tickets. A photo ID is required for all will-call orders.
Player-Guests: The will-call entrance for player-guest tickets for K-State and the visiting team is located at the southeast entrance of Ahearn Field House. Gates open one hour prior to first serve. Each person for whom an admission ticket has been left must be present a photo ID to receive a ticket. Once they receive their ticket, guests are required to enter the field house immediately.
Lost/Misplaced Tickets: For lost or misplaced season tickets, the Athletics Ticket Office may re-issue tickets to the ticket-holder of record only. A service fee is charged for each replacement ticket. For season tickets that have been lost in the mail or stolen, contact the Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-221-CATS for replacement information.
WATER FOUNTAINS
Water fountains are located outside of the men’s and women’s restrooms which are just north and south of the east entrance.
Gameday at K-State
Gates open one (1) hour prior to first serve. All fans ages 2 and older must present a ticket to enter Ahearn Field House. K-State students with valid student ID are admitted free.
