Norman, Oklahoma

Pound the Stone
You hear Chris Klieman and K-State Football say it a lot, but it was on full display on Saturday against the Sooners.
The Cats were down but definitely not out. A rally in the second half, filled with huge plays in all three phases, lifted the Cats to their second consecutive victory over Oklahoma.
Take a look back at photos, social content, videos and reaction from Saturday's big win in Norman.

Taylor Provides an Offensive Spark
After a tough first quarter offensively, the Cats needed a lift. Chabastin Taylor did the trick with a 39-yard touchdown catch to get K-State on the board.

The Defense Steps Up Big
Down several players and up against one of the top offenses in the country, K-State's defense dug deep. The Cats got interceptions from Elijah Sullivan, Justin Gardner & Jahron McPherson on the day. The first half picks by Sullivan and Gardner helped keep the Cats in the game until the offense got rolling.

Work To Be Done - Adjustments To Be Made

Deuce On the Loose
The talented freshman was at it again on Saturday. Trailing by 21, Vaughn's 77-yard reception might've been the play the offense needed to get things humming in the second half. Skylar Thompson followed with a rushing score, and the offense was is rhythm for the rest of the game.

After OU answered to take a 35-21 lead, K-State again had a response. Thompson found the end zone again to close the gap to 14.

Defense Does It Again
Jahron McPherson got the ball right back for the Cats with a big hit & forced fumble. Drew Wiley got the recovery, & the Cats were back in business. Thompson cashed in on the good field position with another rushing score. Just like that, the Cats trailed by just seven.

Huge Play On Special Teams | Cats Tie the Game
AJ Parker made sure the Cats kept the momentum rolling, and his blocked punt set K-State up in great shape to tie the game. Vaughn followed with a 37-yard rushing score to tie things up at 35-35.

Lynch Comes Through In the Clutch
The senior kicker delivered with a 50-yard field goal make to put the Cats in front with just a few minutes to play.
Lynch's make would become the longest game winning field goal in school history!

We were down three touchdowns. We had penalties. We made mistakes. But this team just kept grinding and kept believing. It was so special to be a part of, and I'll remember it for the rest of my life.Skylar Thompson
Our biggest thing was that we weren’t coming out of the fight. We’re going to keep bringing the fight, and we knew if we kept pounding for four quarters that eventually we’ll have some success.Jahron McPherson
Great resolve by our guys and great team win.Chris Klieman
Give Chris (Klieman) and Kansas State a lot of credit. When we made errors, they made us pay.Lincoln Riley

On a serious note a win in Norman only shows this team and program is in good hands with @CoachKli . Manhattan has something special coming together!
