Domenic DeRenzo

DeRenzo enters his first season as a graduate assistant with the K-State baseball coaching staff.
A native of Pittsburg, Pa., DeRenzo graduated from Oklahoma in 2020 with a degree in multidisciplinary studies. At OU, he played three seasons for the Sooners as a catcher, producing a slash line of .203/.304/.450 with 12 home runs and 43 RBI.
DeRenzo was tabbed a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball News following the 2016 season where he started 33 games behind the plate and slashed .243/.313/.592 with six doubles, three triples and eight home runs. His .592 slug percentage was the highest in program history by a freshman.
DeRenzo is working towards a master’s in academic advising at K-State.
